Privacy Policy

Resurgee ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered task management orchestration service that augments Google Tasks and Google Calendar with proactive notifications, AI rescheduling, conversational planning, and pattern learning (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

  • Email address and basic profile information provided by Google Sign-In.
  • Timezone and notification preferences you configure.

1.2 Google Account Data

When you connect a Google account, we request access to:

  • Google Tasks — to read, create, update, and sync your tasks.
  • Google Calendar — to read event data across your linked calendars, used solely to detect scheduling conflicts and suggest available time slots.

You may connect multiple Google accounts (e.g. work, school, personal). We store, per linked account:

  • The Google account email address.
  • OAuth access and refresh tokens (encrypted at rest).
  • A calendar type label (work / school / personal) that you assign.

1.3 Task and Scheduling Data

  • Task titles, descriptions, scheduled times, and status (pending, completed, rescheduled, missed).
  • Reschedule history, including AI-suggested time slots and which suggestion you selected.
  • Behavioral patterns we derive from your task history (e.g. which days/hours you tend to complete tasks), used to improve suggestion quality.

1.4 Conversational / AI Data

  • Messages you send to the AI planning assistant, and the assistant's replies.
  • To generate responses, relevant task and calendar context (titles, times, availability) is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) for processing. See Section 3 below.

1.5 Subscription and Billing Data

  • Subscription tier (Free, Premium, Pro), status, and renewal dates.
  • Billing is handled by our payment processors (RevenueCat, LemonSqueezy); we do not store your full payment card details — only the subscription/order identifiers needed to verify entitlement.

1.6 Device and Notification Data

  • Device tokens for push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
  • Notification delivery preferences (push, email, or both).

1.7 Technical Data

  • Standard request logs (IP address, timestamps, endpoint accessed) for security, debugging, and rate-limiting purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

  • Authenticate you and maintain your session.
  • Sync and manage tasks across your linked Google account(s).
  • Detect calendar conflicts and generate AI-powered rescheduling suggestions.
  • Power the conversational daily-planning assistant.
  • Send task reminders and missed-task notifications (push and/or email).
  • Learn your productivity patterns to improve future suggestions.
  • Enforce subscription tier limits (e.g. number of linked accounts, AI conversations per month).
  • Maintain and secure the Service (fraud prevention, debugging, rate limiting).

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following processors, only as needed to operate the Service:

Google API Services User Data Policy

Resurgee's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google account data is used only to provide and improve the task/calendar features described in this policy — never for advertising, and never sold or shared beyond what is necessary to operate the Service.

4. Data Retention

  • Free tier: task history retained for 7 days.
  • Premium tier: task history retained for 90 days.
  • Pro tier: retention as described in your plan.
  • Conversation history and reschedule history are retained for as long as your account is active, unless you delete them.
  • If you disconnect a Google account, we delete the associated OAuth tokens immediately and stop syncing further data from that account.
  • If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records).

5. Your Rights

You can, at any time:

  • View and update your profile via account settings.
  • Unlink any connected Google account (revoking our access to it).
  • Export your task/analytics data (Pro tier).
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@resurgee.xyz.
  • Revoke Resurgee's access to your Google account directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

6. Data Security

  • OAuth tokens and other sensitive fields are encrypted at rest.
  • Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
  • All traffic to the Service is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take industry-standard measures to protect your data.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and, where required, by additional notice (e.g. email or in-app notice).
